These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of remotetaxcalc.com ("the Site") operated by RemoteTaxCalc ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

RemoteTaxCalc provides a free online tax calculator that estimates take-home pay for remote workers across 27 countries. Features include employee and contractor tax breakdowns, side-by-side comparison, and personalized recommendations.

While we strive to keep tax rates and rules up to date, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any calculations. Tax regulations are subject to change, and individual circumstances (deductions, credits, treaties, etc.) may significantly affect actual tax obligations.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• •Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Site
• •Interfere with the Site's operation or infrastructure
• •Resell or redistribute content from the Site

5. Intellectual Property

The design, code, and written content of the Site are owned by RemoteTaxCalc and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as stated below, you may not reproduce or redistribute them without our written permission.

The tax rate data is an exception.The underlying dataset — income tax brackets, social security rates, tax-free allowances, and their change dates — is published under CC BY 4.0 and is free to reuse, republish, and build on, commercially or otherwise, with attribution and a link. It is available as JSON at /api/tax-rates; see Using This Data for the attribution line. This licence covers the data only, not the site’s design or code.

6. Affiliate Links

The Site contains affiliate links to third-party products. Each is labelled “Affiliate” where it appears, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through one, at no extra cost to you. These relationships do not affect the tax data, the calculations, or which countries we cover. Third-party products are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. 7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RemoteTaxCalc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its calculations.

We aim to keep the Site available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
